Project Details

The EBRD is co-financing the construction of a residential project of 712 apartments in Ulaanbaatar, known as the Ulaanbaatar Green Affordable Housing project (UBGAH). The project is implemented by the Municipality of Ulaanbaatar (MUB) and it will be one of the first public housing projects in Mongolia to apply EDGE green building standards.

The project is expected to consist of rental and rent-to-own units that will be managed by the municipal company Capital City Housing Corporation (NOSK). AHI, in partnership with local engineering firm ICON Consulting, has been hired by EBRD to support MUB and NOSK in the development and implementation of an Institutional Capacity Development Programme (ICDP) aimed at strengthening their institutional, financial, and operational capacity for the implementation and management of housing projects, including in the area of energy efficiency and environmental and social performance.
