Developing Management Models for Social Rental Housing Complexes

AHI, in partnership with Fundación Alcanzable, carried out a comprehensive consultancy for the Chincol Project, an industrialized housing complex developed for affordable and protected rental housing in the Municipality of Renca, Chile. The project is promoted by the Municipality of Renca as part of Chile’s National Housing Emergency Plan led by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (MINVU).

The Chincol complex consists of 104 industrialized timber housing units, including community facilities and complementary uses, and is intended to operate as protected social rental housing for a minimum period of 30 years. The consultancy aimed to develop a replicable, technically robust, and financially sustainable framework for the administration, operation, maintenance, and tenant selection of affordable rental housing projects, strengthening municipal capacity and supporting the scaling up of this policy instrument at the national level.
