Project Details

AHI is a supporting institution and full member of a Triangular Cooperation Program involving Brazil, Chile, Peru, and Spain, aimed at strengthening the institutional, regulatory, financial, and operational frameworks for social and protected rental housing.

The program addresses persistent challenges limiting the scalability and sustainability of social rental housing, including regulatory constraints, financing gaps, operational complexity, and limited institutional capacity. Through horizontal, peer-to-peer cooperation, the initiative promotes shared learning among national and regional housing authorities and specialized public institutions.

The cooperation is structured around seven phases, including institutional dialogue, comparative analysis of national and international models, field missions, joint identification of challenges, co-creation of policy roadmaps, and regional dissemination of results. The program aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 11, 10, and 17) and supports regional commitments.
