Project Details

AHI undertook a study of the housing investment landscape in six countries of North and West Africa (Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea, Morocco, Senegal, and Tunisia) to address the lack of reliable data on housing finance, with the goal of finding new instruments and stimulating targeted investment. Objectives of this work included understanding and explaining the investment process in the housing sector of the selected countries, determining the information and data investors need in order to invest, indicating the variables investors take into account when determining the ROI and risk weighting the country/projects, and understanding what makes some countries more attractive to investors than others.
