Working on behalf of the Centre for Affordable Finance in Africa (CAHF) and the Miyamoto Corporation,AHI provided a market analysis and feasibility study for affordable housing finance in Liberia. Miyamoto developed a concept note for a “Liberia Employer-Assisted Housing Pilot Program”, which describes a pilot initiative to enable Liberian workers to own homes through employer assisted direct salary contributions and the development of a mortgage finance system. CAHF’s support will gear the investment of the Miyamoto Corporation and other stakeholders, producing a report for public dissemination and contributing towards an initiative that is expected to raise funding for an implementable program that leads to increased housing opportunities and more efficient housing financing mechanisms in Liberia.
