Hannah Leung joined AHI in 2025 as a Senior Analyst, with a focus on sustainable financing mechanisms and climate-resilient development strategies for public infrastructure and affordable housing. With a background in environmental planning and context-sensitive development, she is particularly interested in the valuation of public goods and the design of innovative financing approaches to scale up inclusive urban development in emerging markets and developing economies.
Prior to her transition to development finance and affordable housing, Hannah has worked at a landscape architecture and urban design firm, where she contributed to detailed master plan development, urban design, and construction of context-sensitive design guidelines in the United States and Saudi Arabia. She has also supported the World Bank’s Nature-Based Solutions team, delivering rapid spatial analyses and recommending investment opportunities to reduce climate risks in urban areas of developing economies.
Hannah holds dual Master’s degrees in City Planning and Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2025), and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts & Sciences with a focus in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2020). Originally from Hong Kong, she enjoys long rugs, exploring new landscapes and cities, and sharing her love of culture through cooking.
