Amna Pervaiz

Project Manager, Data & Research

Amna Pervaiz is currently a project manager at AHI. She brings experience leading and supporting advisory work across housing finance, policy, valuation, institutional assessments, and strategic growth in several geographies. Her work includes research, housing value chain and market analysis, stakeholder engagement, and consulting support that contribute to AHI’s efforts in strengthening affordable housing systems.

Amna’s core expertise is in housing program design and financial modeling. Her experience includes designing and assessing housing finance instruments, developing analytical frameworks, and reporting tools for housing portfolios, and building models that help governments and institutions evaluate policy decisions and long-term investment strategies. She has worked on and led several projects in countries such as Pakistan, the Maldives, Kyrgyzstan, Vanuatu, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Ukraine, Ecuador, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. This work has allowed her to gain a practical understanding of both demand- and supply-side constraints and opportunities in emerging markets, as well as the tools needed to address them. She also serves as AHI’s in-house Islamic finance expert.

In addition to the international consulting work, Amna leads AHI’s Expert Valuation business line, which provides U.S.-based valuation and advisory services. She builds and manages valuation models for affordable housing portfolios and ownership interests and advises on program design based on equity syndication and structured finance mechanisms, serving both private real estate management companies and public development corporations across the United States. She also contributes to AHI’s Strategic Growth Advisory line, supporting mission-driven organizations through financial analyses, institutional assessments, and transaction structuring that strengthen organizational capacity and delivery.

Amna’s commitment to housing grew from experiencing how urban and socioeconomic inequities shape people’s lives. Her early work documenting informal settlements showed her how deeply housing influences opportunity and vulnerability. These experiences continue to guide her approach to the sector today.

Amna holds a Master in Urban Planning degree from Harvard University, specializing in Housing, Community, and Economic Development, through the Fulbright Scholarship. She also has a Bachelor of Architecture from the National College of Arts in Pakistan.

Amna is a native Urdu speaker, fluent in English, and familiar with Punjabi and Arabic. Beyond AHI, she enjoys painting and yoga.
