AHI offers summer and winter internships for those interested in gaining hands-on experience with the work we do around the world. Typically, AHI brings on one to three interns per season, depending on capacity and need. Most internships are unpaid; however, our interns often receive funding from their academic institutions. While we would like to accommodate every request, we are only able to accept interns capable of working on-site in our Boston office.

Past interns have worked on a variety of consulting and research assignments, including: writing a case study of the Zaatari refugee camps, redesigning AHI’s housing ecosystem graphics, compiling country profiles for a global affordable housing developer, examining co-operative savings models, and completing topographic assessments of development sites.
