Yesterday we were introduced to Christopher Leinberger’s anticipatory obituary of McMansions in his Atlantic essay in wish-fulfillment schadenfreude, “The Next Slum?” with its harrowing subtitle:
“The subprime crisis is just the tip of the iceberg. Fundamental changes in American life may turn today’s McMansions into tomorrow’s tenements.”
