From New London to Old London

Having written a lengthy post on eminent domain in urban redevelopment (stimulated by the Supreme Court case Kelo v. New London, now pending) I’m off to Old London

Maybe I could get to be mayor …

… to persuade Her Majesty’s Government to enact a Housing And Regeneration Tax (HART) Credit, one of the four essential kinds of money (soft equity).

HART is a great product — modeled on and improved from the US Low Income Housing Tax Credit and historic tax credit, with many features specifically adapted for the UK environment (including mixed-use, mixed-tenure, and mixed-income workforce housing).

During my absence, blogging will be lighter — but it will continue.

As the Governor of Kollyvornia says, “I’ll be back.”
